Ancestor Worship Hall
The Ancestor Worship Hall was designed and built by Shanxi Provincial Ancient Architecture Protection Institute, an imitation of architectures of the Ming Dynasty. It is the core of the whole Ancestors Memorial Garden. The Ancestor Worship Hall faces south and it is 112 meters wide and 55 meters deep, covering a space of 6,160 square meters. In front of the Ancestor Worship Hall is a bronze tripod for incense burning and inside are enshrined memorial tablets of 1,230 ancestors, embodying traditional culture and featuring ancestor worshiping. The hall is the largest ancestral shrine for ancestors of different surnames in China and even in the world, where memorial tablets of 1,230 ancestors are enshrined.
